Smallsword parts
A quick note to Avgousta, Yes I can supply you with smallswords for your film but the address you sent mail from is not letting me return your mail. Try posting to me at [email protected]
This page shows most of the smallsword hilt parts that are currently available. Be sure to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page for new products and advice on what you will need to do to fit up. Oh, the photo above shows parts for smallsword no.1 on Tod Glenn's bench in Montana, being fitted with an old Hanwi blade that he ground down to something elegant. Brilliant work Tod.
WHAT MAKES JACOB'S ARMOURY CASTINGS SPECIAL
My pieces are cast at a commercial jewellery foundry in Scotland, from original swords and relics in my collection and a few others. The pieces this foundry do for me are the largest pieces of "jewellery" that they are equipped to handle, and without there kindness, guidance and enthusiastic support, Jacobs Armoury would have never gotten off the ground much less achieved the recognition we have enjoyed these brief few years. And, I could tell you who they are but... that's right... I'd have to kill ya.
When I first set the prices below the pieces were coming from the foundry unpolished and there was a second higher price if you wanted me to do the finishing, fit up and polish. I can't manage that any longer but I now order the pieces polished from the foundry. For a long time I chose not to pass that additional cost on to you but on closer examination of my 08/06/2018 foundry bill I realize that I have been operating at a loss for the past year. Oof... So I'm afraid that, much to my regret, in order to continue making these historic hilts available I am forced to put my prices up as indicated below.
Below you will find photos of my smallsword furniture. Mind you there will be some variance from casting to casting.

This fine piece was one of the last that I had the privilege to build. It graced the hip of actor Lionel Lingelser in his role as King Louis XV, OUTLANDER Season 2 and now resides back home with me... to remind me I suppose...
No. 1 hilt furniture £210 Includes pommel, knuckle bow/ricasso with ricasso washer attached, grip washer and shell. This set does not come with a grip. No. 2 hilt furniture £210 No. 3 hilt £110 No. 4 hilt furniture £210 The gallery includes a photo of the original piece in proper silver. Like the original, the reproduction parts are delicate and fine. Intended to be seen but only used on the rare occasion that justified it. The last photo in the series is actor Stanley Weber as the Comte St. Germain with his Jacob's Armoury smallsword no. 4 OUTLANDER season 2 No. 5 hilt furniture £130 The second photo show a set polished and ready on the left and without foundry polishing on the right. No. 6 hilt furniture £220. This casting includes a cast grip. No. 7 hilt furniture £130 No. 10 hilt furniture £210 Very like Small Sword No. 2 but with a shorter ricasso and diagonal design motif. No. 11 hilt furniture. By far our most versatile, hilt number 11 has no knuckle bow, the most vulnerable part of other hilts. As such there is not just one position in 360 degrees that the pommel needs to rest in, in order to receive the end of the knuckle bow. This also means that hilt number 11 is not right or left hand specific. Fewer parts means that it is less expensive to produce however it still retains the decorative quality of a higher end product.

Building your own weapon can be very rewarding and save you some money as well. The required work will include grinding off the molten metal spout tags (there probably won't be any). Cutting off the tang button and drilling and threading the pommel, if you are using a blade with a threaded tang. Cleaning up the retaining square at the end of the ricasso and fitting it to the shell. Probably enlarging the cavity where the tang passes through the ricasso (I do it with drilling and filling). Making your own grip (unless you order smallsword no. 6). Grinding a standard 6 mm hex nut (to lock down the pommel). And finally assembly.
