I believe we are going to start this run with German silver. Also known as new silver or nickel brass. It is a copper alloy with nickel and often zinc. Nickel silver is named for its silvery appearance, but it contains no elemental silver unless plated. The name "German silver" refers to its development by 19th-century German metalworkers in imitation of the Chinese alloy known as paktong.

This weapon has quite a small hilt so I like it best for teaching or just for show as it combines a nice solid hilt with some lovely decorative parts. I wouldn't want to do this sword with a wire wrapped grip on account of the small armature I would have to start with. The introductory price of this weapon is £275.
