On hand just now, this cracking vintage blade found the back corner of a curio shop in Sussex and brought back to life by Jacob's Armoury. Mounted to our hilt No. 5 with a wire wrapped grip of copper and steel, this one of a kind piece weighs in at 454 grams, and with a blade length of 28.5 inches she comes to hand like a lover. Those of you out there who have ever held a real small sword know what I'm talking about. I normally don't give my swords names but I call her Alex, after the friend (actually a guy) who discovered her... waiting to be brought back to life. Alex is a lady with a real edge, and as such I would never fence with her... but if for some reason you should ever find yourself in real danger... she is the one.
The repro No. 5 sells for £200 but this is a special item. Alex is yours for £350.

And here is her twin sister with a Leon Paul steam blade number 2, just completed for Bill Horgan of Cork City Ireland.
This is the original piece from which we created Small Sword No. 5
We have a friendly butcher in Charleston in Fife who provides us with horn and bone for our grips.
Small Sword No. 5 is essentially a slightly bigger version of Small Sword No. 3
